Safe Rides...community service opportunity

Last week we shared with you the importance of community service for college admission and scholarships.  Safe Rides is a volunteer service for juniors and seniors.  You must be at least fifteen years old to volunteer and the training will be on Saturday, September 6th in the Activity Center on Centre Point Parkway- by the Skate Park.  For more information go to scvsaferides.com

Teenagers:  If you don't want the volunteer hours, this is still a great resource for you to know about.  We always want you to be safe.  If you have been drinking, you can call Safe Rides and get a ride home.  If you have friends that have been drinking, don't get in the car with them.  You can call Safe Rides and they will come pick you up.  It is all confidential! The phone number is 661-259-6330.

The first five students to come see Mrs. Goller and show that they have Safe Rides saved in their phone will win a gift certificate for a free slurpee!
