Part of the FAFSA is the Cal Grant Application. The FAFSA awards you free money from the government based on your income. The Cal Grant awards you free money based on your Grade Point Average and income. When you fill out the FAFSA, you will see a page that discusses the Cal Grant. It may ask you to print out a form to have your school counselor verify your GPA. This is not necessary. Please read below:
Cal Grant GPA Verification
There’s
no need for Canyon Seniors to fill out a Cal Grant GPA Verification Form because: Cal Grant GPA’s were electronically uploaded by Canyon’s Counseling Department.
